Regarding intellectual property rights & copyrights/trademarks:
Please feel free to print out as many copies of the pages/paper that you like, with the understanding that:

1) The Free Trader is a registered service mark and cannot be used without our written permission. This includes our mast head and our "trader" logos.

2) The images, logos & slogans of the respective advertisers in our paper are the sole property of the advertiser/sponsor/artist/photographer/etc. and should not be duplicated for other uses without their permission. If you do decide to use any of their materials, you do so at your own risk.

Before you place your Free Ad, please follow these guidelines:
(You may purchase a $5 BOLD CLASSIFIED Ad and word the ad however you like!

-Ads must be 20 words or less and are edited at our discretion, regardless of size.
(We do not count the title {For Sale, Garage Sale, For Rent, etc.},
the address {for garage sales}, phone number or email address)

-Only submit one Free Ad per week.
(1 ad per household. If you're calling in an ad for someone else, you must say so in your
message and give their full name)

-Send ads using plain text only, please.

-Leave your full name and phone number (your number must be in the ad, unless it's a Garage Sale or if you do not have any telephone access).

-Ads with attachments will not be accepted.

-Ads that are of a religious (prayers, does not include religious events) or of a political nature will require a fee to run.

-Garage Sale ads must include your exact street address and are only run the week of the
sale, unless the Garage Sale is for a fundraiser or community event. We will not publish the
phone number.

-Service Ads (Babysitting{under 18 or college student run Free}, Carpentry, Errands, etc.) are considered paid ads.

-Personal ads (looking for love, friends, etc.) are not allowed and will require a fee to run.

-Ads containing web addresses, links to pictures, business contact information or names, taking orders for items/animals, buying & selling similar items in the same ad, etc., are not considered free & will require a fee to run. Also ads containing business-like information can be removed or edited ("on sale," "low prices," "delivery," etc.). List a few specific items (baby clothes, trampoline, DVD player, mens' bicycle, etc.), not general items, unless for a garage sale (clothes, toys, items, electronics, jewelry, etc.).

-The deadline for submitting your Free Ad is Wednesday at 12:00 noon for that week's Thursday edition.

-Community Announcement ads are run continually on a space available basis until the date of the event. So please only submit them once, it is not necessary to submit them weekly. Also, the ad must state the benefitting organization or individual any funds are going to.

Ads run for 1 week, if you want your ad to run for more
than 1 week, you must submit it each week that you'd like it to run.

Please follow these guidelines or your Free Ad will not be submitted.
